Since I last updated, I have started my new job as I said. I love, LOVE my new job. Although I was hired as a labor and delivery nurse, they have started me out in the newborn nursery (also called the Well Baby Nursery). It is so-much-fun. :) I now take over most of the care for 1-2 patients (after just a week) and have been given the opportunity to start doing my own "transitions". In the nursery that means that I get to do all the care for baby that has just been born. Everything from the first assessment and first bath, to medications and monitoring. I really enjoy it and can't wait to do even more as the weeks go by. I'm also loving the schedule...3 days a week (12 hour shifts) is WONDERFUL and I really enjoy the time during the week to get things done!

In addition to work, Matt and I had a FABULOUS time during our mini vacation to Lake Travis. We got to rent a jet-ski, eat some amazing food, shop a little, go to the movies and just enjoy our time in the Hill Country. I can't believe I only took a couple of pictures during the weekend...but here are just a few.
Here we are about to head to dinner at a place called Eddie V's. SO yummy. We followed that up with cheesecake to go from Cheesecake Factory and we enjoyed that on our balcony overlooking Lake Travis.
Here is the view from our balcony! So beautiful!
This is at the vineyard and restaurant at the Trattioria Lisina owned by the Mandola family who owns Carrabba's...one of our very favorite restaurants. If we hadn't just STUFFED ourselves at The Salt Lick (yum!), we definitely would have had dinner there. Hopefully on our next trip.
Finally, we ended our trip with a night at Matt's family farm near College Station. We took a very hot "Memory Lane tour around A&M and had some great food at Cheddars...a place we ALWAYS ate at when I came to visit him during college. Overall, the weekend was wonderful. We enjoy ourselves more each time we go and I can't wait to go back.

And finally, here are a couple of pics from the night we went to see Fiddler on the Roof. I realized that I never did update on it. It was an AMAZING show and Topol did not disappoint!
Here we are before the show got started
I couldn't believe how good this picture turned out! This is the cast at the very end! :)

Thats all for now! Head on over to my new blog to catch the new pics I recently took of Blythe!
Have a great week!!
